Re: Wind noise

I’ve forgotten what it’s like to hear wind noise from the windows. I really need to install my door seals!

That lower seal does sit differently against the window depending on the window’s position, at least on my car. The window shifts outward very slightly as it reaches the top of its travel, and ...

first post:
968 cam housing tends to crumble on that point which you use as pivot, so if anyone has magnesium rear cam cover/housing from 968 on 944s2 maybe, be careful, altough, the 944s2 has automatic tensioner, but sometimes (everytime) you want to be sure and verify

Probably. I’d much rather replace that mount than have another fire, though

Re: Header heat shield

Re: Lifter tick but unusual

Windows open? City driving? Close to large buildings? It's not uncommom for me to mistake other car's noises as mine own 🙂

Check check and sorta city. I had the same thought, but the noise followed every little weird thing I did with the throttle. I guess we’ll just have to see if it happens ...

Hey everyone,

Just checking in to say hi, I've been restoring a Porsche 924 N/A, it's the biggest automotive project I've undertaken so far. I've been in love with 924's since I saw my uncles Carrera as a kid before he crashed it.

6 months in, tonnes of progress and still a long way to ...

Lifter tick but unusual

Here’s a scenario I haven’t heard about before: lifter tick that starts after the engine is warm and then goes away within a few minutes.

Can’t tell you how excited I am to try this! Thanks a million, @Tom! I’ll post up here with impressions, results, and a comparison with an early version of the Arnnworx tool
