From the pictures of the rims/wheels, the 1987 model year of a different wheel offset then the 85.5/86 model year. I believe its a 1987. The Porsche sticker on the drivers side door jam would specific the month/year of manufacture.

I used a rust-oleum flat black spray paint (made for use on a variety of materials included plastics). Took my time spraying the paint, as to avoid runs (3 light coats). I had the white spots on the instrument cluster plastic surround. Looked like the measles. I took apart the cluster, sanded the plastic and repainted the plastic with a flat black spray paint. Did this about 2 years ago. Still happy with the results.

PS. I purchased my '86 n/a new with only 25 miles on the odometer. Now at 294,xxx miles, I've logged 22 occurrences for replacing/retention of the timing/balance belts by the Porsche dealership.

Pictures a few years dated. Only changes is the mileage.........now clocking 294,xxx.
