Re: Arne's non-Porsche projects - Now a 1969 Bronco

Since the last episode...

...And thanks for all the fish!

Well, I've come to a point in my life where I feel the need to reprioritize where to spend my time. And an obvious area to trim is my online presence. And unfortunately, Carpokes is going to be a casualty in my cutbacks.

I say 'unfortunately' because I do like the attitude and atmosphere here ...

Re: Coco Mats

I had brown/natural mats in my '84 Carrera with Cocoa Brown interior. Here's the best picture of that I can find right now. I think it would look great with Espresso/Cognac interior. The brown of the mats probably won't be as dark as the Espresso, but down on the floor I think it will be plenty ...

Re: wheel spacers

1. What brand and size wheel spacers are you using? (I just want to push them out a little bit for aesthetics.)

You must not drive in the rain, or on roads that have any gravel or grit on them. I do, and the last thing I want is to move the tires out to throw more road schmutz and gravel at the ...

Re: What's become of Sunset Porsche parts?

Shipping has gotten high enough on some items that coming direct to a store near you can often be a simple answer.

Shipping costs are significant these days, but I strongly suspect that some online sellers are hiding extra profit in their shipping quotes. Sell the item cheap, but pad the ...

Re: What's become of Sunset Porsche parts?

Well, if it is a glitch or error of some kind they'll probably figure it out at some point when their online sales drop to zero.

Or maybe that's the goal? No more online sales?

Re: What's become of Sunset Porsche parts?

Sunset is one of two semi-local to me dealers, and I did buy parts from them when restoring the '72 911T during the pandemic. They can be difficult to deal with. The good discounted prices are only available online. Don't call the parts desk and expect to get the same prices. Since I am 'only' 2 ...
