Re: 944 Turbo picture thread

Ed is right. The seats and door cards were re-upholstered by the previous owner (he is also from SF) with the correct fabric he ordered from Germany. Yes, would be perfect to also meet up for the intercooler ducts.

My silver rose

Beautiful car. It's a dead ringer for @Crazy Eddie's car. He will be showing his at Luftgekuhlt tomorrow if you are going. If not, he's down here in Silicon Valley and it would be very cool to compare the cars side-by-side. I suspect your interior is a bit more vibrant than his ...

Re: SFR Stage 1.5 Duct Work

My panel basically looks like yours without the cut-outs. I'm happy to take it off again and take some pictures and measurements if you think it's helpful. Otherwise your suggestion to print the profile you have and trim it during install sounds like the best approach. I can then take pictures ...

Re: SFR Stage 1.5 Duct Work

Hi Tom, I took some pictures of the area without the nose panel installed. The picture I took from the underside of the panel didn't get saved for some reason (I only realized once I had the panel back on). I found one on the web that looks exactly like mint though and attached it (just white). It ...

Re: SFR Stage 1.5 Duct Work

Interesting. I have not seen data on the stock intercooler vs. larger units like this on the 951, but experimented with different ICs on a 996TT I owned a while back. I did see drastically lower intake temps with larger ICs there, but also flow helped as far as I could tell.
My main objective on the ...

Re: SFR Stage 1.5 Duct Work

Tom, I bought these about 4-5 months ago along with the 1.5" piping. Just haven't gotten around to installing them as I was hunting down various oil leaks. I still need to figure out a rich running condition under boost so I have a proper baseline before swapping IC and piping.

I also need to clean ...

Re: SFR Stage 1.5 Duct Work

Tom, much appreciated! I don't have any experience using 3D printing. Would gladly take you up on your offer to make me a copy for $20 or whatever you think is reasonable. Given you seem to be local in the bay area, I might even be able to drop by and pick them up.

Happy to print you a set ...
