Re: Windshield Butyl Soft and Gooey
Porsche of Newport Beach gave me a new windshield under “good will” - I was treated great. I had to pick up 10% of the cost which was about $300.

Re: Windshield Butyl Soft and Gooey
Tom - yes, I am grateful you posted this safety issue. I have a newer BMW X2 with recall on the brakes, BMW never mentioned it to me. BMW did a R&R and called a serve vs. a recall. That was the last time I used the particular dealer.

Re: Windshield Butyl Soft and Gooey
Tom - today I stopped at Porsche of Newport Beach with this thread. Within a moment, they asked me to bring in my Spyder and they would R&R as "good will".
Thank you for pointing out this build quality issue.

Re: Windshield Butyl Soft and Gooey
Tom - that’s so interesting. Mine is a 2021 718 Spyder and I think it’s a mess almost like a poor design and I’m so glad you pointed this out. Mike extended warranty is expiring. I better bring it to the attention of the dealer.

Re: Is the sport exhaust a must have?
Within three months of purchasing my Spyder I also purchased Cargraphic valve control, Over Axle Pipes and Sport headers. The headers sound fantastic. As do the Over Axle Pipes. The headers were not necessary. But! They have that distinct sound and remarkable look. When I have a full open exhaust ...

Mr. Davis Could we please discuss this by text or email. I provided that information to you previously.
I am interested in the purchase as long as they will fit my 2021, 718 Spyder.

I have a new and still-in-the-box pair of the black aluminum Raceseng shifter paddle extenders as pictured in this thread. They attach to the OE shifter paddles with 3M two sided tape: https

Paddle Shifter Sale
My apology for being a little behind on this response. Would you please provide a link for the paddle shifter extenders that you posted.
They are beautiful.
Do they adhere with screws or two sided tape?

Re: 718 Sports Chrono Reflection/Glare
Tom - cool stuff!
That would work well on my 718 Spyder.
What other cool gizmos have I missed?
I have the whole covers (top) and I just bought the license plate screwless attachment. That’s a darn nice piece of engineering.
