But I've also been very fortunate to not have any mechanical issues beyond my control.
I'm trying to think ahead before there is an issue.
Murphy's Law says, "Don't fix It If it ain't broke!"
But by the same token, logic tells me preventive ...

Engine / Suspension upgrades on a 987.1 2006 Boxster base 2.7 L

So I just sat in a 2022 GT 3 RS at the Naples Fl. Porsche store at a PCA breakfast there.
It's everything I want in my Boxster, for only $245 K!
Yikes!

I bolted on about 25 to 35 HP at 104 K ...

Re: Dreaded IMS controversy

No, you didn't.
His contention was it was a political puff piece to promte LN ENGINEERING.
Who btw are awesome folks to speak to and deal.
I'm concerned that not fixing it and just doing frequent oil changes is the way to go. In my opinion it is since ive got 117k and i haven't blown the bearing yet.

Re: Dreaded IMS controversy

My thoughts exactly. After 16 years Im still enjoying the car. I like it better than the 911 turbo s awd i drove. But that another story. I was very surprised and disappointed that after all these years there still is any controversy at all about this issue.
