Looking for porsche tool 9201 tutorial

Strangely enough there is no one definitive tutorial on the 9201 timing belt tool. I just bought one but want to ensure i use it perfectly. What do all the buttons do. Whats the double dial for. How to calibrate it. How to use it for every belt.

If anyone knows a video tutorial or wants to make ...

better order fast because last time I was looking for a set, they were out and new stock is on a "as found" basis, meaning it can take months to get new stock.

I suggest considering replacing exhaust header and intake header gaskets. They probably leak resulting in high CO emissions.

If you also take the cross over pipe off, install lindsey racing copper gaskets.

I’ve never tried copper gaskets. Is the idea that they will soften and conform to ...

Re: Radio wiring no power

Thanks for the explanation! Really helps to understand what I'm doing better.

As for the radio, I've made good progress. Now that I know the ground, switched 12v and constant 12v are available, I connected everything but the constant 12v.

Can a Carpokian confirm that I should use the red white ...

Re: Radio wiring no power

Update

I'm afraid I am incompetent. But I'll post here for future people that know nothing about electricity but want to work on their car.

I switched the multimeter probes around and am now using red to touch the car chassis with battery connected. I touch the black probe to the wire I want to ...

Radio wiring no power

I'm finally getting my blaupunkt Bremen sqr 46 dab radio head unit installed. Coming from a Kenwood kdc-3057u. When I bought the car years ago the kenwood worked, but it died some time later.

So now years later, I've pulled the kenwood out. The harness is a bit of a hack job. PO seemed to have ...

Re: Power steering rebuild

Thanks, I saw your thread but did not want to derail it.

Good to know I can do it with a jack.
Thanks for the tip for the hose.

I'm debating to do the work now or save it for another time. To make a decision, I would want to know whether it is possible to drive around with the rack out of order ...

Power steering rebuild

I am looking at a complete power steering system rebuild on my 1986 951. The more I read about the undertaking, the less happy I get.

My biggest question is can I do this without a car lift? I normally lift the car from the front by putting the jack undrt the crossmember. But that's the area i will ...
