I'm not a purist, but I do tend to prefer original. The price is what makes this a no go though. If it was cheaper, I would probably do it, sacrilege or not.blueline wrote: Sun Nov 16, 2025 9:58 am True, but if that's the only option that will allow the OP to continue driving, then sacrilege it will have to be.

Re: 993 Won't Start
Glad you got it going! And appreciate the update! Always frustrating to find your exact problem on a forum but never get the solution.
Thanks. I haven't taken it out yet, but I did bang on the gas level sending unit a little and now it's reading gas. I think it's reading low, but I won't know ...

Re: 993 Won't Start
Just a quick update. I finally had time to get it up on stands and change out the fuel pump. What a PITA, but got the new one in. She starts and run perfectly now so my guess at the fuel pump was correct. Thank God. Old pump has a electrical burn next to one of the terminals.

Re: 993 PDK Conversion
I'm not really looking to replace the 993. The later 911's just don't hit me the same way as the 993. I'm liking the 992's more and more though. I just wouldn't mind just jumping in the car whenever and not even thinking about the traffic or route. I guess a tip would also work, but I haven't heard ...

993 PDK Conversion
This popped up on one of my feeds.

When I was looking for my 993, it had to be a manual. Now that I'm getting older, I don't drive it as much because it is a manual! It's hard to get away from traffic around here and it's just not ...

Re: 993 Won't Start
I saw an article on Pelican Parts, so I did a couple of the tests. I removed the DME relay and checked for voltage on 30. Good. Turned on ignition and checked voltage on 86. Good. Jumped 30 and 87b, I hear a faint thump, but don't hear the fuel pump running.
The article also said "Check for ground ...
