Re: MAF Sensor = Mass Confusion
I should have caught this but ordered per year and got the wrong MAF which was for 2.5L Cable and I have a 2.7 E-gas. To help someone out, you have cable throttle if you see a coil spring to the side usually 97 and 98 models and Egas just has black box on the side, says Bosch on it and no springs. I ...

Re: MAF Sensor = Mass Confusion
Ok, Problem solved, Wrong MAF. The important thing with the MAF is to choose the correct one for the right engine, If you have a cable throttle, it's a different MAF than if you have an E-gas which is an electric throttle body. Porsche swapped mid-year 99, my car is a 2000 but was made in Sept 99 ...

MAF Sensor = Mass Confusion
So I have a 2000 Boxster with a 2.5L because it was manufactured in Sept. 1999. Because of that I'm getting different numbers on my MAF sensor from site to site when I go to order. I did already buy a new MAF Bosch Model #0280217007

Re: Replacing Cooling Fan Resistor Wiring
Follow up question. When you removed the connectors at the fuse box did you have to loosen the box, pull it up and do it from the engine bay side or from underneath the dash. Access is cluttered under the dash.

Re: My new 944 ... and it's issues
My suggestion is take your time and enjoy the ride if it runs make sure you keep it running. These cars hate to sit around. Fix the big issues. One being fire hazards and that’s fuel lines front to back and any wiring issues. After that short starts. Then check look and smell. Drive short distances ...

Re: Can I swap an '88 2.5S into an early ('83-'84) 944 Chassis?
I can’t say for sure but I’ve had the same idea. Normally it’s a lot of work I think because wiring and brain issues. I know the dme brain for both are different so it’s probably not as easy as a straight swap. I have an 87 944s and a 924S and I’ve dreamed of having g the S engine my 24 but I don’t ...

Re: Replacing Cooling Fan Resistor Wiring
My wires were completely deteriorated all the way to the central electrics box. I ended up sourcing new terminal ends and made a supplemental harness to run along the main harness. I have all the PNs for the parts that I used and the cost of materials isn't very high. I may even have some spares I ...
