Thank you sir for your kind words. Congrats to your friend on the GT4RS. That is such a beautiful car!
It was a lot of fun to work on my 4. I spend extra time just because I love marveling at the engineering and design of all mechanical parts. I could spend hours just admiring engine and suspension ...

I think my father used his old Leica to get the pic. The pic above was a quick iPhone snap of the photo I found ...

My favorite so far is the latest creation. Cocobolo has been one of my most favorite species of wood to turn. This one is currently in my car.

Re: Wooden Shift Knob
Still having fun making different shift knobs for my 4.
After Derek Bell signed my car at the Werks Reunion at Amelia, I decided to do a tribute to the 917 knob using Maple, Black Walnut and Purple Heart.

Re: Wooden Shift Knob
I found some pretty OliveWood to make a little smaller shift knob. Love turning OliveWood. My garage smelled like a restaurant.
I also lowered the mount a little for shorter throws.
Really pleased with this set up now.

Thank you sir. 917 is one of my favorite cars.
This is the first time I worked with Goncalo Alves. My favorites are Cocobolo, OliveWood, Black Walnut and Maple Burl.
The bezel came black from the factory. I haven’t touched it.
