Re: 1983 944 - Drivers Seat Question
Just looked under my seat and no, there’s no connecting rod on the other side. I’ll be pulling my seats to reupholster them in a couple weeks, so I can get you a photo of the underside then. Re: Hood insulation

I don’t know what the cost of production will be, but I think that would be an appropriate price considering the amount of time and effort going into making it07turbeaux wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2026 5:29 pm since my two transaxle cars have just had belts done I have no urgency but it sure would be nice to have one in my tool box. $250-350?????

Re: Temp gauge testing
Well after several days of driving after installing a new thermostat the car works as intended! The wahler thermostat I removed said made in Brazil so I wonder if that could be part of the problem. The OEM one I purchased had a made in Germany stamp so I’m confident about this one lasting longer.

Opinion on seats
I’m planning on reupholstering my seats and I’m debating adding dark brown piping as opposed to the tan I’ll be doing for the rest of the seats. I’ve added a very rudimentary image I edited to see what it would look like. Thoughts?
