Re: What was your childhood dream car?

@staceybsnyder

Since this topic is for all kinds and makes of dream cars from our early childhood years (a very long time ago...) and has attracted quite a vehicle assortment while growing to 7-pages of posts, I'm going to relocate it to "The O.K. Corral" where more might see it.

I'll leave a ...

Re: Just back from paint correction

I think it depends on your goals.
Are you wanting it all original paint? If so, then i'd get those chips fixed by a paint correction guy before the process begins. That's what I did.
If not, then i'd consider a repaint.

It may just be me, but PPF seems odd on a car this old. LOL
I considered it ...

Re: In search of damaged/bent 911 wheel

Update:

I bought a dinged up wheel on Ebay from a Panamera. 19x11 wheel. Got a spare tire bracket from Amazon and this is the result. I kinda like it. :)

Re: In search of damaged/bent 911 wheel

You're good Tom! Water hose reel and possibly an air hose reel.
I'm not gonna spend 300-500 for a wheel for it though. Ha

In search of damaged/bent 911 wheel

Good morning Carpokians -
I'm working on a little garage project and in search of a reasonably priced 911 (any era) wheel or 2. Something bent or damaged would be great. Anyone have anything they'd be willing to sell me?

Everything on ebay is crazy expensive.

Thanks,
Stacey

Re: Goodbye

That is the beauty of these cars. There are no right or wrong answers....just amazing cars and driving experiences to suit anybody. One of the things I love about Porsche and the 911 in particular

Re: Goodbye

How was the ride in the 992 compared to your 997? I have looked at the 991s and 992s and they just seem to be bigger and bulkier than my 997.2. I love my .2 although I wish sometimes it was a manual. Opinion?

The ride on the 992s is remarkable. Extremely stable, but maybe somewhat numbing. The ...

Re: Goodbye

992 GTS Targa manual in Carmine would get my vote. Or a 718 Spyder. Either one would pegged the fun meter and run circles around the hyper cars of our youth. :)

Isn't that the truth.

I'm gonna play and have some fun with the Boxster for awhile. That car is getting most of my attention and it's ...

Goodbye

Well, I sold my 992 on Monday. I just wanted to say goodbye...but not really.
I still have some others so i'm not really going anywhere. :)

Sold it back to a Porsche dealer for less than $3k below MSRP. I think that was a fair deal for an uber quick sale.
This 992 Carrera 4 just wasn't for me.
