Can I change piston rings without doing anything to the aluminum block? Has anyone done this?

Has anyone changed the piston rings on a 944 without the Alusil and everything worked fine?

If you can find them! I've been looking for OE flat top pistons for a while, and only the dished ones are available new. I looked for months for decent used ones, but didn't find any. If you've found a good set, go for it!

Could I replace the pistons and rings with those from a European engine?

Hi, after changing the PCV valve, the car isn't running well, like one of the cylinders isn't working. I'm having these problems. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for any help.P0303, P0267, P0300

I dont know from memory, but you can find all measurements/tolerances in the FSM.
