Thank you for your advice.

Fuel Rail & Injector Removal Problem

I thought removing the fuel rail and injectors would be a simple task, but it has not been so far. This is a low-mileage car, so the parts in question are all original.

Re: Timing Belt Oddity

Just saying "thank you" to you all seems less than appropriate, given that each of you took the time to share your thoughts, experiences, and wisdom to help resolve my problem. Believe me, it is very appreciated.

Happy New Year to you all!

So, what was the resolution?

Re: Need Replacement 1&4 Exhaust Manifold for 1986 944 Turbo

I was able to find these refurbished manifolds with the expansion bellows at the 944 Store:

Need Replacement 1&4 Exhaust Manifold for 1986 944 Turbo

My 1&4 manifold failed at the point where the tube enters the flange. See photo below.

My research has shown that 951 111 131 06 manifolds are as plentiful as hen’s teeth, and highly valued if you do find one. It would seem that replacing the original with the 1988 version with the expansion ...

Re: Timing Belt Oddity

Tom, thank you very much for the information you provided.
My description of the belt "jump" referred to the reduction in tension on the top strand, resulting in slight but noticeable movement of the belt on the crank gear. The degree of tension increase and decrease while rotating the crank seems ...
