Here are .STL files for retro-fit front and rear rubber grommets on 944, 911, and 928 brake-wear sensors. The factory grommets crumble to bits with age, but are installed on the chassis harness and cannot be easily replaced, nor are they sold separately.

These versions have a slot in them, so they can be installed over the existing harness wire. Once pressed into their clips, the slot is closed tight by the clip and the grommets/wires are every bit as secure as the originals. The fronts work in the plastic clip with part number 999.651.202.40, which fits most 944's, some 928's and most '84-'89 3.2 Carreras. The rears are designed around the rear 944 clip, but also fits any car with a 10mm clip opening.

Must be printed in TPU (rubbery plastic). On my Bambu Lab X1C printer, I print these at .24 layer height with 6 lines per wall, which allows it to print without supports. (Don't print it upside down, the groove is designed to print without supports only when standing upright as modeled.)

I originally created this in Autodesk Fusion. Hope it may be of use to someone. Cheers.

Thanks so much for sharing. I'm trying to send this file to a friend so he can print some for me. He says the file is not in correct format. I don't know anything about 3D printing and not that savvy with different computer file types (just fixing Porsches LOL). Can you help me in sharing this file with my friend.

The grommets in the first post of this thread are tested and known to work (have them on my car). I have not tested the other grommet 3D file posted here, though it outwardly appears to be the right file type (.stl). Which one are you trying to print?

Hi, Thanks for the grommets file, mine have crumbled away, i will print replacements.
Does anyone have a way to print the plastic clip with part number 999.651.202.40 which the grommet fits into? Mine have broken at the base. Or is it best to get these from Porsche?

I'll put it on my list to model and post, but for the time being, it looks like they are still available for about $5, so that would be the path of least resistance currently -- no pun intended
