My '86 with only 17,000 original miles that I rescued this year after finding it abandoned in a locked garage for 20+ years. Of course this photo was taken after three months of cleaning, detailing and mechanical work. It still had all its original parts on it from day one right down to the hoses, timing belts and tires when I towed it home so you can imagine all the work needed to bring it back to life.
Oh my, THAT's a car! The more pictures you can post for originality the better! Might need it's own thread to do it justice. Spectacular car and with 17k miles, it doubles as a retirement portfolio these days!
I think it needs its own thread. Spectacular original garage find.🤙🏻🤙🏻

Thanks guys. I will start a new thread for this car then with the idea of being able to help anyone wanting to know how something was originally on their 944.

'85.5 gift from a (wonderful, generous) friend for my retirement. Came to me immediately following a head replacement. Since then it's been little thing after little thing. Thanks to George Beuselinck and his patience in mailing clusters back and forth across the country, we have a fully functional speedo. Now it's off for the big thing. Paint. Copenhagen Blue. Since my benefactor was a web developer, you can find history (along with other stuff of interest) on her website at https://944folly.com
