I don't really know. It has wood steering wheel and handbrake too, of course. Color is Grand Prix white, FWIW.
I haven't seen another like it. But I've never been told it is rare. Carbon fiber seems to have been a popular trim option.
This is my 4th 993 but the first TT. The others I bought in the '90s. Two '95s and a '98 C2S. While on business my wife traded-in the '98 for a 2002 996 Turbo. Not a great move, as it turns out. But she did it thinking I'd be thrilled so I hugged her and let it go.
Lance.

We're excited to have you! Welcome aboard. Nice car -- what makes it an outlaw? If TT means twin turbo, we must see more!
I converted it from a C4 cabriolet into a turbo. Engine, trans, suspension and body parts all OEM Porsche. 993 Turbo cabs are super rare so I built one.

Wow, very cool! Man after my own heart. I see your CA license plate -- curious if you were able to get a CARB sticker for the car? Or if smog on those cars is easy because just an OBDII scan (not roller dyno and testing specific systems like my 944)?
Passing smog testing in California is a challenge. Mostly it's the engine mods that disqualify the car so I have to go through special testing. No CARB unfortunately. Ultimately, I moved the car to Washington state. No smog up here.

Understood. Long-term Californian here.... There is a process to get a CARB sticker for engine swap cars, so I thought maybe you did that. There was a 944 in the bay area for a while that had an LT1 (if memory serves) with a CARB sticker. The owner said it took many trips to the referee station to get the sticker, but he got it. Moving to Washington is much easier I'm sure.Rockrxdoc wrote: Fri Sep 02, 2022 9:46 am Passing smog testing in California is a challenge.
