We visit Ridgecrest CA often. My father in law (Neal Lundwall) is retired and worked all his life at China Lake as an engineer.

I have been hooked on cars ever since I was a little boy, particularly Porsche. I do enjoy racing, and have been a die hard fan of F1 and endurance racing for as long as I can remember.

Welcome Enzo I too was hooked on cars since I was little. At 5 I wanted a corvette. But at 10 I was at Brooks AFB and my uncle brought home a 1970 911S and since then everything I did. Jobs education etc was so I could buy a 911. Still have slight hankering for a corvette but the opportunity hasn’t presented itself. I’m looking at the new Z06 but nothing will replace my 911. My neighbors just bought an 87 911S and I drove it. Beautiful car

Ecleland I grew up in Dallas. I’m a Texan but don’t like humidity

I lived there from 1978 ( Victorville) -1981 then went to Chico to get my engineering degree graduated in 87 and went to Ridgecrest. Don’t know Neal. But my wife is from Idaho and once I visited I knew I’d get there eventually. Moved here in 15. Not much I miss about Ridgecrest outside the work and friends. My son is an engineer there too, just had his first baby. Going in a couple days. I had a place in Mammoth Lakes and that saved my mental health because I hate the heat. Boise is growing like crazy. All Californians. I have land in Eastern Idaho but have not moved yet. I don’t even like the
8 weeks of heat here But we can just drive a couple hours and go camping

Checking in to say hello and explore the site! Been a Porsche fan since I was a kid and hung a poster of a beautiful 930 Turbo on my wall, then any poster of a RUF Porsche I could find. Finally, a few years ago I bought my first Porsche and now I'm hopelessly hooked!

Here's my 2009 Boxster and 2016 Cayenne GTS

Next summer I hope to acquire a beautiful one-owner '74 911 (2.7) from a friend who's selling all his cars and retiring to Europe.

Love the color scheme of your Boxster. I ordered one of the first Cayenne GTSs but I didn’t take it in guards red with red leather.

I had them powder coated bronze for a unique look. Think they turned out amazing. Just have to match the side vents now…
