Tom wrote: Thu Jan 26, 2023 9:18 am Awesome pictures! Thank you for posting. Silly question, but did you add the yellow stripe on the steering wheel, or is that from the factory? I'd get @Crazy Eddie bolster covers on those seats asap, but I'm biased (and barely fit in those buckets....). :)

I just got them on. I’ll take more pics so you can see 😂
Stripe is included on the gt cars with alcantra steering wheels. Bolsters are already on- thanks crazy Eddie!
That's crazy. I have a trained eye looking for Ed's covers and still missed them.

Fantastic!!! Thanks for the feedback and the great pics. Curious as to other things you notice as you put the RS through its paces. I am pretty much next on the allocation list, assuming any more are forthcoming this year to the dealer.

I concur on alignment changes. I am running -2.5 camber with toe at zero, square (all four corners) on my 718 GT4. Was only able to achieve those numbers using Tarett Engineering components in place of stock front & rear. Stock really puts the kibosh on anything beyond mild alignment specs. Does the stock 4RS allow for that kind of camber adjustment or will it need aftermarket components?
Stock rs Will get you more camber than gt4, will get you to -2 easily with a little room for more. If you want much more you will need toe links and camber plates (or shims but I wouldn’t want those front wheels to stick out anymore than they do).
Thanks for that info. Maybe the stock 4RS setup will get me to where I want to be but probably not. I won't know until the car has been driven on track for a bit and I can (hopefully) figure it out. Of course, it's all a moot point if I don't get a 4RS allocation! Lol.

Agree on what you said about shims. Porsche specifically says "no" to shims on a 718 GT4 due to insufficient room in the well. And even if they did fit, as you mentioned, proper monoball camber plates and turnbuckle style toe links from Tarett or TPC racing are a better way to go. (I don't think you can get to zero Toe without turnbuckle style links, but don't quote me on that.) As I mentioned in prev post, the Tarett race-style monoball camber plates and their turnbuckle toe links did wonders for my car. For what it's worth, I'm also using a DSC controller.

Tom, the stripe is part of the GT4 pkg and also that for the 4RS. I configured my GT4 stripe to red since I had also had red deviated stitching.
The stripe is also on the Boxster T. Mine is red to match the stitching.

I asked, it didn’t seem like he could get the fabric though. I’m going to get them through P1 designs.
