Just got my first Porsche: a '22 Macan GTS!
I also drive a '13 E92 M3 Coupe (the last V8, stick shift) and in the near future maybe a 992 GT3!
My favorite will always be the '89 Turbo…
Welcome to Carpokes! The Macan is a very nice and nimble SUV. There was a story in one of the big magazines last summer about how it beat the 944 Turbo around the track. That didn't sit well with the 944 Turbo crowd, but there's no denying the Macan is a pretty capable car that does a lot of things really well. :)

Congrats on your Macan and welcome to the Porsche family - drivers of the world's best cars and SUV's! There's a good crowd here always eager for posts and pics. Also, if you have questions or observations, someone is usually around here who can assist.

Speaking of pics, post some of your Macan. We all like seeing what everyone is driving and pics say it so very well.

I'll shift some of my limited Porsche goodwill your way towards the possible 992 GT3. Might be of little help but moral support can't hurt!
Moral support appreciated! Things are getting even trickier on the 992 side…
But let’s talk about happy ones! Here it is:

Can’t speak for the 944, but I was amazed by how the Macan handles!
That power with the air suspension…

I think I’ll track it more than I do with the M3 lol

Outstanding photos of a cleanly built, great looking Macan - very nice! The car, the structural shapes and colors, the deep blue sky - it all works together to create outstanding views. Gotta love the enticing south FL colors - the Caribbean influence. Bermuda in particular comes to mind. Thanks for posting!

Hallo,
to all the Porsche owners & friends/ aficinados in this community from a new member located just 15 mi NW of the factory in Zuffenhausen.
We are enjoying our classical vintage P's either on the non speed limited Autobahn or the nearby winding roads of the Black Forest...
Keep the air cooled revs high

Welcome to Carpokes and enjoy your drives. You definitely have some beautiful places to either cruise scenic roads or enjoy the unlimited speeds on your Autobahn!

We could use a dedicated and (highly) limited coast-to-coast Autobahn of our own. How cool would that be!!!

Note: all poorly trained U.S. drivers (there are legions) with their Cracker-Jack driver licenses would, among other basics, be required to know how to quickly access their vehicle's turn signal while also proficiently discerning the difference between right and left. Following that basic training, they would next be required to spend a couple of months in Germany going through that country's strict and thorough DL training and licensing program.

Welcome !!!

A few years ago my wife and I were fortunate to complete the European delivery of an AMG and experience the Black Forest region (beautiful) along with driving sections of the Autobahn.
Most US drivers are not taught and don't have the necessary skills to drive safely at unrestricted Autobahn speeds, it was quite an experience !!!
We didn't visit the Porsche factory (fool me) but did get to tour the Mercedes factory - we were very impressed with Stuttgart and the beautiful scenery of southern Germany.

Thanks for joining Carpokes

Welcome Renatus, and good for you to be able to drive on the Autobahn. My cars, a 2004 996 coupe and a 2012 Audi TTs are presently in storage in my garage for the winter. I expect to put them on the road in April, however the best I can do is drive them on the 400 series of highways here in Ontario, Canada where the speed limit was recently increased to 110Km/Hr. Fortunately, the traffic generally moves along between 120/130. My option is to track the 911 in the summer months which I have done. Enjoy your wheels as I expect to do in a couple of months.
