Awesome pictures!! Did you get a close up of the FABCAR VIN plate on the right side of the dash? I ask because at least one of them misspelled the name Porsche, and I'm curious if that was a one-time error or not....

As I understand the 7 cars were put together by Al Holbert and he had access to any factory race Porsche parts that he wanted.

Yes. Nobody has said what the redline was on this engine, I’m guessing it had an aggressive cam so cooling the valve springs would be a good ideaCruise98 wrote: Mon Jan 30, 2023 1:13 pm Thanks for the photos. Those GTR:s are truly amazing! Porsche should have kept pushing and developing the transaxle cars instead of dropping its work in -81and leaving it to non factory outfits.
If these awesome mashines had full factory support the story of the transaxle cars would had been very successful.
