I will be starting a coding thread for those of you who have access to PIWIS. We have successfully done a few retrofits like NAV in the cluster, Entry Drive sensors with gesture control on MY 2022, Open/Close Boxter and Spyder top with the remote and many more features. Feel free to comment and request "new" features.
I am working on Traffic Sign Recognition, Enable/Disable DRL from the cluster menu, Enable Track mode from GT4, Enable Auto Blip or Sport Mode from center console, Disable Passenger Occupancy Light, Retrofit Memory Package and more. Any help is appreciated.
All the PIWIS coding below is done in Engineering Mode.

Do you have a clone PIWIS or are you using a shop's device? I've looked at the clones and have been hesitant at ordering.
I have FORScan for my F150 for coding and have also used FDRS to flash/upgrade software on modules. I wish Porsche would be like Ford and have a 2 day license for $50.

I have a cloned version which does not have Online access. There are some coding that can only be done Online thru the Porsche Network. For example Coding keys and anything related to the Immobilizer.

Any way to turn off auto stop/start by default and/or have the car default to sport mode? Not sure if the 718 works the same, but my 992 Turbo S reverts to Nissan Versa mode every time I start the car....

I agree with Tom on having the default be in Sport mode rather than Normal for a 992 TTS but then again, I am ok since switching is second nature now.
It's easy to twist the dial one notch - especially so now that I have the Carpokes dial mode cover!

I also set the Shortcut button on the steering wheel left button cluster to disable Auto Stop if for some vague reason I'm driving in Normal mode.

I have a change that I'd like to control - turn off or on, mostly off - that probably will get tomatoes thrown at me. That would be the burble (Porsche calls it Backfire in the Owners manual p125) when letting off the accelerator in Sport mode.
It drives me crazy although I am somewhat used to it now as I've been forced to accept that it's there. Fortunately, it's turned off in all other modes - Wet, Normal, Sport Plus. The problem for me is that I drive in Sport pretty much exclusively so I have to live with the backfire/burble/whatever it is. I love a great sounding exhaust note but don't at all care for the phony burble. (That's just me, so please limit tomatoes thrown.)
I'd drive in Sport Plus just as a way to disable the burble/backfire but Sport Plus is far too aggressive for any kind of regular driving, even if it's extraordinarily spirited. You've just about have to be on track or in some kind of nearly full-on race mode to utilize Sport Plus. (It is fun every now and then, however!)
I'm sure Porsche paid some engineer a couple of hundred grand and a year's time to develop the backfire process.

Yes the ASS can be turned off on 718. It actually remembers the last mode. If you disable the ASS by pressing the center console button. It members that setting. I am working on setting the Sport button up in the center console and test if the last mode works there instead of the knob. Now I need to buy a Nissan Versa and testTom wrote: Wed Mar 01, 2023 6:01 am Any way to turn off auto stop/start by default and/or have the car default to sport mode? Sport or Sport+ mode disables ASS by default. Good shortcut.blueline wrote: Wed Mar 01, 2023 6:37 am I also set the Shortcut button on the steering wheel left button cluster to disable Auto Stop if for some vague reason I'm driving in Normal mode.
