Here is my list of people who have asked for a set in black. Let me know if you see any mistakes. I don't think the batch arriving on Wednesday will be enough for everyone set requested on this list, but I haven't heard from many of these people since they first posted (despite posting for re-assurance) so I'm suspect I will have enough for everyone who wants them this week. Either way, I'll have enough for everyone who wants them -- you may just need to wait a little longer.

Here's my plan: when they are available, probably Wednesday night (CA time), I'll make an announcement in this thread and let you know how to place your order. I am only set up to take PayPal, so if you don't have an account, now's the time to set one up! I'll fill the orders in the order paid, and if I get more orders than available on Wednesday, I'll fill any remaining orders from the next batch -- which should not be too far behind.

I got the first batch of black anodized covers today. See pictures below. I'd say they look 'fine' and may well blend in nicely, but the finish isn't going to win any awards. You can see they anodized over the raw aluminum without much surface prep, so the grain of the aluminum is fairly noticeable, at least when you look at them close up (as shown in pictures). It's all personal preference I know, as some people love that look. For reference, I also included a picture of the ones I blasted and powder coated.

If anyone wants me to powder coat theirs before I send, I'll do that for free as part of the $65/set price. It will just take me some time to get them done. I'm not necessarily pushing that, but wanted to offer it up and set realistic expectations on the anodized version now that I have them.

Each set is $65, shipped globally, and I'll invoice you accordingly. (I will send in a regular legal envelope, which worked inside and outside the US when I shipped the raw covers. However, if that fails to work for anyone, for any reason, I'll need to come back and collect actual parcel post rates.)

I would definitely want mine powder coated like the photos.
I'm in the process of moving in a new home today and tomorrow, so if I can I will submit payment in the next day or two. Otherwise Saturday at the latest.
