I finally found another printer to de the stickers for the backlit switches, and I should have some ready in about a month also.

Greetings. I'm a new subscriber and am very excited to see the depth of talent on here. I also have a HVAC problem... however, it's the opposite of this one. I can not get heat out of my unit. The cc unit has been tested and the motor is activated when the temp control knob is turned. Any ideas on what I can check ? I have a NA 1986 944.

Welcome to Carpokes! We do have a lot of 944 knowledge here, and the forum format allows for a deeper level of documentation than a typical facebook thread :)

As to your issue, have you checked the heater valve under the hood? If it is not letting coolant into the heater core you won't get any heat or defrost etc. Could be a sensor or solenoid too, but heater valves are a more common failure point.

p.s. if you need help finding and testing the heater valve please speak up and i can post a pic and info....

Many thanks for the reply. I kinda suspected the valve. Is it the one at the back of the engine that is difficult to reach from the top and impossible to get to from underneath ? Some pictures would help, and perhaps a brief description as to how to R & R the valve would be greatly appreciated.

All the faceplates should be done by Monday but it's still going to be a little bit on the stickers. Probably looking at another 3 weeks. If you guys want super early first dibs I'm sure we can work something out where I send out face plates now and follow up with stickers when they come in? We'll work something out. I'll post pictures up when they get finished.
