Slick video!

You may have already mentioned this in one of the other videos and/or posts, but how long will you two be in Germany/Europe? Do you have an itinerary for the road trip after taking delivery?
I don't think we've really posted that info, no. Timewise we're looking at just over three weeks in total. The roadtrip post-delivery is not precisely specific, because we're wanting to be very flexible and adjust to how much ground we cover per day, the weather, and whatever unforeseen circumstances pop up. We will alter on the fly as necessary.

Generally, though, the idea is to head straight south from Leipzig, cross the alps through Austria or Switzerland to Northern Italy, cross the valley of the Po to the spine of the Appenine mountains, swing west and follow them northwest back into Switzerland or the great high roads in the alps of Eastern France, then north towards the Eifel Mountains in Germany, passing through whatever twisty road terrain there is en-route (like maybe the Vosges Mountains). Then a final few days in the Nurburg area (and of course doing some Touristenfahrten laps on the Nordschleife). Then back down to the Stuttgart area to drop the cars off at probably Sindelfingen and then heading back across the Atlantic. At which point in time I will be starting a massive accounting of the terabytes of photos and video footage we're going to have, and beginning to put together the story of our journey.

And that's about it in a very simplified nutshell.

Fantastic and compact summation of the general plans and routes. And might I add, WOW!

We may do a similar experience starting in Leipzig at some point so I'm trying to absorb a little bit here and there to get an idea. Following the footsteps (and missteps - hopefully none for you two) is a good starting point for us. Looking forward to your travelogue!

Thanks for the precap. (I know, no such word, but since you haven't gone yet there cannot yet be a recap, so why not precap?)

p.s., Vimeo videos will embed and play here in the thread (like YouTube) if you just post the URL with no tags around it....
How about something simpler for the mounts, something like these? Replicating the full logo has been a challenge on such a small part, so maybe better to ditch it?

Hi, all - time for another update on The GTS Chronicles journey to ED:

We recently spent some time thinking about having some crew member(s) to accompany us and help with the media capture (since we're going to be two guys in two cars, if we want pictures/video of both of our cars in action, there by definition has to be someone else there).

In March we set up a series of light-hearted interview sessions where we "probed" the suitability of candidates, in a rather dramatic-looking room we ended up coining the "Crew Vetting Chamber".

You can check out a fun video of this activity in our latest GTS Chronicles Instagram post:

or directly here via this embedded video player:

What a crew to choose from. The serial killer dungeon looked cold but no blood on the concrete was somewhat reassuring. The fuel filler lid on the rear hatch is a good one too!

I think you should take them all to Europe. Worst case scenario is you film a spin off titled Blair Europe Misfit Project. (BEMP for short.)
