Update. Just swapped the original black dial face ring with yellow. Adds just enough accent yellow I was hoping for and I think ties in nice with the 992 GT3 Shift knob and future LWBS inserts in the works.

Tom if ever you find the .stl and print some up I am still interested to replace chrome OEM with a satin black one. No worries if not. I think looks good but could be better with black bezel.

A black bezel would look fantastic!

Everything points to Amazon these days :D

You can only buy the set (dial face plus ring). As stated I just used the yellow ring, swapping it with the black OEM one.

This YouTube video details the process of swapping the Chrono dial face precisely:

I suspect it would as well. I just don't want to permanently alter the OEM bezel with black paint. I even went so far as calling European auto wreckers and salvage parts stores to see if anyone has one. None do in my local area and I suspect if they did they will want to sell the entire sport chrono unit for at least 50% the new cost.

in that case just pop it off and spray it with Plasti-Dip, which can be removed.

Thanks for the suggestion. We are having one of our vehicles completely wrapped for our son who just got his license. I may ask them to apply black matte to this trim piece. My business also owns many CNC Mills and in theory I could machine these out of solid billet, it's just extremely costly for me to allocate that much programming and machine time to a personal project.
