I'm starting to look for options to protect the front radiators in my 992 Turbo S. Any options out there yet? I'd obviously rather not remove the bumper cap if at all possible.....
Tom, there are 2 companies that make the grill inserts. One is Suncoast Parts. The other and more that I have seen is Zunsport. You do not take off the bumper for either. They snap in place from the front. It looks pretty good when installed.

I had those for my 991.2 Turbo S, but couldn't find them for the 992 Turbo S, at least when I last looked? Do you have a link and/or know if they are out yet for the Turbo S?Tedrudich wrote: Mon Oct 18, 2021 11:21 am Tom, there are 2 companies that make the grill inserts. One is Suncoast Parts. p.s., since posting this question, I discovered there is a chicken-wire like screen directly in front of the radiators, in black, which I totally missed the first few times I looked. Fairly thin metal, square mesh, easy to miss. I'll try to take a picture this afternoon. Not sure how much good they do, but certainly better than nothing.
Check out Radiator Grill Store. I have their radiator protectors on my 2015 GTS, left right and center...also on my 2013 Carrera left, center and optional center grill. Inexpensive and good install instructions.
I called Radiator Grills. They can not produce for the 992 because of the cars "active aero". Their solution goes behind the aero moving parts on the bumper so it will not fit properly.mfschacht wrote: Mon Nov 08, 2021 7:50 pm Check out Radiator Grill Store. I have heard of folks disconnecting the active aero flaps. Engine runs cooler, supposedly.
Better yet, just run in the Sport mode, fluiid tems will be consistently at 190 to 200 degrees F. If you have a 991.2 or later, when you define your Individual Mode, position 4 on the PDK rotary switch, include Sport Mode as a constant.

Has anyone made their own and come up with a good way to mount them without removing the bumper or drilling holes?

At least for my 718, the Zunsport grills don’t require drilling or removing the bumper. The installation of the five front grills took about 15 minutes. The two upper side grills fit nicely, the two side lower grills fit snug but not perfect fit and the center grill feels loose but I think it will stay put. Unless you look really close they look great.Tom wrote: Sun Nov 21, 2021 5:37 pm Has anyone made their own and come up with a good way to mount them without removing the bumper or drilling holes?

So on my car (992 turbo s), the center radiator has a plastic screen up against the radiator. Not at all sure how much it would help if a rock bounced in there, but I guess better than nothing.... The side radiators have no protection at all, other than the big decorative grills in the bumper...
