ARE YOU SAYING YOUR CGTS 4.0 is scheduled for delivery at the PEC on MARCH 31st??

Are you in the “Morning Delivery”????

Well if so ….. we will be with you that day as another “Carpokes Family Member”. takes delivery of another CTS 4.0 at the PEC.

If so this is really great news.

Attached are a couple of our 2023 CGTS pictures in process build photos……. Shark Blue with Espresso / Cognac interior with Deviated Espresso Seat Inserts…… we can’t wait to see it in person.

I have done a previous PEC delivery of a Cayman S in April of 2019. Having been a long time Porsche Owner and visitor to the Factory multiple times to visit with the Porsche Exclusive Team at Zuffenhausen …...all I can say is the PEC Delivery Experience is a great way to take delivery of your new Porsche.

Will follow this post with an additional posting of our PEC delivery in April 2019 Cayman S manual in Chalk. In addition will included a photo taken last fall in the new Werks 1 Porsche Exclusive Display and Consultation area…….. On the shelf is my current front Michigan license plate “CXX” on display…….Priceless!

Look forward to chatting soon about your upcoming PEC Delivery……sure hope we are on the same day at the end of this month.

Dave
That would be a great Carpokes story if the two of you get to meet up at the Atlanta PEC and take delivery the same morning!

In any case, it should be a nice and warm spring getaway from the still lingering MI winter weather. (I know what it's like having lived there for 18-years - Downriver and A2. Spring can be slow to come.)

Have fun! Thanks also for the pics and recap of your 2019 PEC delivery.

Yes, I am excited about getting the car. Thank you for asking.

However, I am saddened to report that the scheduled Atlanta PEC afternoon delivery of 30 March '23, fell through. Last Monday I received an email from PEC advising they could not support the delivery because of a "track buy out in the afternoon." The scheduled delivery date coincided with the my son's visit between overseas assignments and sentimentally my deceased father's birthday. After much back and forth, and on the heels of losing the EU (Leipzig) delivery option due to factory over scheduling, I opted for a local delivery. A local delivery has benefits and I am focusing on those... For their part PEC offered compensation and mock delivery experience at a later date. I am still on the hook (happily) to my wife for the promised European vacation.

Totally understand that things change (again). Flexibility is good. What's unchanged is that you get the car. More importantly, you also keep sentiments and family in the correct perspectives without giving up the former! Good for you!

Hello,

I “Second” what blueline stated in his post.

Disappointed that our paths won’t cross at the Atlanta PEC. You should take advantage of the offer to have a mock delivery at some time in the future.

Looking forward to some pictures of you local delivery, and we will post some photos of our delivery as well.

Best regards

Blueline and Dave,
Thank you both for the kind words. The good news is the delivery is days ahead. I will post pictures .
Dave - obviously I am envious and sorry our oaths will not cross. Look forward to the pictures. PEC committed to a mock delivery - which I will do when my sons’ schedule synch.

Enjoy the ride!

Looks like we will have similar Espresso / Cognac interiors, we went with the Cognac leather dash and door trim option, along with Espresso seat insert option.

In looking at your actual Build code it seems with your manual transmission you may wind up with a black leather shift boot….I hope I am mistaken.

For our other Cayman I used Frank at Exclusive Options (EO) for my interior transformation using another Factory Special grained leather called - Cedar Green Buffalo, it is similar in texture to the Carrera GT Ascot Brown leather. The Ascot Brown leather is the version of leather used in the Spyder 000 model special CXX optioned interior.

Planning to commission E0 to prepare a Cognac leather shift boot, control panel and Smoker’s Package door lid to minimize all the “Black Plastic” pieces on the center console area. In addition, may have the l center section of the steering wheel done in the Cognac. This is similar to what was done on my Cayman S. I have included a couple of photos below.

I have talked to LarryC about the shift boot stiching work that Frank at EO did for his CGTS and the results were great.

I will send you a Private Message with my contact information so we can have a chat if you would like.

Regards

Dave,
I am very happy with my CGTS. Enjoyed our earlier conversation. With 3K on the odometer I am at the tweaking stage and I would like to follow your lead. May I ask for the contact info? Safe travels.
Many thanks - Chuck
