Great news and frankly it seems Porsche does address and handle these matters better than most. Pleased to hear it has come out quite well for you!

Finally got the car back today. Happy ending, new engine in the car, runs perfect, and Hendrick Porsche in Charlotte did a great job informing me throughout the process with videos. Although it took about 2 months, Porsche NA make it right.

Did they exactly say what it was? Agree on the bore scoring pre-diagnosis… but holy chit, are we’re really still dealing with this topic? My wife wants a Macan and I’m just not sure yet… do I wait for the EV? I have a 2020 Tiguan R and it sounds like a noisy diesel motor… imo, looks great but it’s junk

The didn't give me a straight answer except that the problem was with cylinder #6 "deep in the engine". There was bore scoring visible, but ver faint. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Macan, but make sure you have a warranty. I also bought the Porsche Platinum Plus warranty for about $5k, will give me long term piece of mind. New engine is in, everything work great! PS - don't buy a Base or T Macan. You will hate the lack of power.

Tried both…. Ya definitely lacked pace! I drove both Genesis GV70/80’s… for the cash, wow!! As for a daily driver replacement, no idea what I want anymore… I always know the next move but not this time
