As the kit nears completion, I thought I would post an early version of the installation instructions. This is a picture-intensive PDF with embedded video vignettes showing various installation steps in action. It's the first glimpse of the full kit as currently installed in my car.

These are pretty awesome Tom! Would it be possible to glue the original clear lens back onto the binnacle after putting the new rings/lenses/LED trays in? That would maybe help to eliminate dust getting into all of the new nooks and crannys?

Kidding aside, I think a big lens over the little lens would double reflections and glare. You could install the LED kit without the gauge rings, but you probably don't need to remove the big lens for that (e.g. just install through the big gauge openings). These rings are set up for their own lenses and would look unfinished and rough without the lenses. But if you wanted this style ring without eliminating the front lens, I posted a version like that a while back, here:
