Tom’s post about all the cars you’ve owned got me thinking. What are the cars you miss the most. The ones you shouldn’t have gotten rid of. I’ll start with my cars.
2002 Acura tsx. My first new car and my first nice car. It wasn’t a special car in that sense, it was just a big first for me.
2010 fj cruiser. I lifted it with bumpers, winch, stereo etc. It would go anywhere. I really wish I still had it. Would be so much fun.
2022 boxster anniversary. That car was perfect for backroads driving pleasure.

I’m debating selling the gt4rs when the spyder rs comes. It is such a hoot to drive, I just don’t know if it would be redundant to keep both. I’m wondering if I will regret it.

I'll have to think about this. There are a couple that sort of fit your subject criteria. However, I didn't actually make a choice in letting them go; rather they went to car heaven.
A 1966 Olds 442 4-speed with tri-power (the only year that option was available - they were rare). Bought new when I was 16 but I had to make the payments. I worked several jobs - whatever it took. A lot of car for a kid. I didn't get rid of it in the sense that it was sold. Let's just say after burning off the third or forth set of rear tires in its first 18-months it ended up in car heaven. Early drifting. I guess I'm lucky that I made it out in one piece.
The other would be my amazing 1972 Datsun 240-Z that I bought upon my return from RVN. Conned a Virginia banker near where I was stationed into making the loan. He apparently either thought well of me or felt pity. I drove the snot out of that car - drove it until it basically rusted in half from ten or more Southeastern Michigan heavy salt winters and roughly 175k miles. What an amazing drive-train and awesome overall design - it was an incredibly good driving car. The early Z's (70 to 72) were just about as good as any car can get in my opinion. (Well, outside of the rust, but pretty much everything rusted out completely in Michigan back in the day.) I loved that car!
There are several others cars over the years that were pretty fine but that I don't necessarily regret moving on from.

(1) Lancia Fulvia HF though it was a junker and I was young
(2) BMW E39 M5...it was an amazing car.
(3) 997.2 GT3RS...I had the car specced exactly as I wanted and picked up in Zuffenhausen. Folding buckets ( no longer available, amazingly), a thicker steering wheel, all finished the way I wanted.
Campaigned it around tracks in Europe and I had Sabine Schmitz drive it around the ring with me as a passenger, lots of adventures. My problem at the time was space. When the 991 RS came out I ordered one and something had to go. I could not part with my 997.1RS ( It was my first new Porsche) so I let the 7.2 go. Regret it to this day:

1993 Mazda RX7 Twin Turbo -- that car had a silky smooth magic to it, and the best handling car I'd ever driven until I got a new 991TT in 2018.
1985 3.2 Carrera coupe, Prussian Blue -- sold it for $20 with maybe 40k miles. Another car that just had that very special feel about it -- better than the sum of its parts.
On the other hand, the car I miss the least was my 4-door1974 Ford Maverick. It was a stripper car intended for fleet sales -- 3-on-the-tree, 6-cylinder CA-spec motor with 75hp. Manual brakes and steering, endless mustard-colored plastic interior panels. Handled and accelerated like a donkey cart, with a steering wheel so stiff it would give Lou Ferrigno a good work out.
