I bought my 944 (used) with the headlight assemblies removed and replaced with "racing" units that are stationary. The original parts (motor, linkage, headlights, etc) came with the car and now I'm trying to put them back on.

It looked somewhat straight forward until I got the headlight frame into position with a bearing bracket on each side... the bearing bracket (fender side) looks like its not on the same plane as the mounting pad on the fender's interior.

I'm not finding much info on how this is supposed to look and get assembled... I don't see anything in my 944 Workshop Manual and my Haynes manual does not having any detail either, and I'm not finding any videos or details online.

Has anyone done this? have any pictures? or any links that might help? attached is a photo that kinda shows what I'm seeing.

It's been so long since I've done this I forget the details, but remember it was worth it to get the gaps all straight and uniform. I'll include this in the #newsletter and hopefully folks will chip in with details. If no, I'll pop the hood and see what I can remember....
