Removed airbox and noticed the connecter that connects the water line to the AOS became brittle and broke. I think pieces of the connecter dropped into the lower line. Clamps for this line look like a 'one-and-done' type; can't figure out how to open them. If I briefly start the car, will this flush the line?

Having a hard time following what water line you are having problems with. Can you post a picture?

Thanks. I had a hard time describing it because I only know enough to be dangerous.

There are aftermarket aluminum parts to replace the brittle plastic . Highly recommended to go that route . The clamps are one time use Oetiker style . To remove you cut the piece that is sticking out .

Thanks for confirming the clamps. Haven't run across that before. Have aluminum connector on the way. My concern is pieces of the old plastic connector are down in the hose and I would like to flush them out before reconnecting. Realizing there would be a coolant loss, can I start the car to run coolant out of and flush the disconnected hose?
