Ha I have many many many words I used to describe both of my TYD experiences. “Fun” was not one of f-words….

It's all over the map, that's for sure - certainly not accurate nor does it always match the timelines shown on MyPorsche.com. It might indicate that the vehicle is soon to be on its way to the Emden port when it's actually already on the boat or vice versa. They don't update it accurately or very often - it's on autopilot. I think the truth is that TYD is maintained as more of a novelty and therefore what I'm being fed online doesn't bother me. It's expected.

I will say that my experience is that the estimated TYD final arrival date is usually not too far off; cars often arrive a few days early actually, assuming the boat makes it across the ocean.

Anticipation of a new Porsche being what it is, I sometimes think the main function of TYD is to keep customers outside of Europe somewhat placated so that they aren't calling their SA every day to see when their new Porsche will arrive. Having said that, the dealership usually has more accurate and up-to-date info. ;)

Truer words have never been spoken!

Porsche's way of creating a matrix to keep us all calm and under control! haha
