I don’t usually post but do enjoy reading other posts and talking with others who enjoy the brand as much as I do.

Newest and only current fun car: 2020 Gt Silver Spyder w/red top, 6sp. I enjoy that car so much. I work a number of hours, and I find myself thinking of driving that car when I have a few minutes to reflect. Several years ago, I found the brand when I bought 2008 Carrera. I put 60k miles on that car, and then upgraded to a 74 Carrera (us spec)…sold both of them…got into a 991.1 Carrera S, then traded and bought a 2007 997.1 TT. Fun car, but I needed a 6sp…and found the Spyder. I have a whole new appreciation for Porsche because of the Spyder.
Welcome to posting on Carpokes, pics of the Spyder will be appreciated 😎

Hi fellow Porsche addicts.
Name: Dave Stephenson
Current Porsche: Just purchased 2010 911 Carrera S Cabriolet.
Last Porsche: 2007 Boxster
Other Porsches: I bought my first one by ordering while at Cam Rahn Bay air base in Vietnam. I had orders for Germany and ordered a blue 912 to be delivered at the Porsche Dealership in Kaiserslautern. I showed up and the car was ready 35000 miles later I sold it for what I paid for it and bought a BMW 2002 TII. My wife complained about the lack of a heater in the 912 and the new bourne was complaining.
Next Porsche: A year old 944 while stationed at Hill AFB in Utah. A great car but terrible in the snow.
Next up: A 2002 Speed yellow Boxster. A great car but with Borla exhaust somewhat loud.
I'm located in Vero Beach, FL and we belong to the Space Coast region of PCA. Its a very active region with rally's, weekend trips and great K and Ks.
My wife and I are living the good life of a retired Air Force Colonel and her success in the travel industry.
Cheers to all.

Ray Litz was a good friend of the Harry’s and did machine work for Harry and Harry talks about Ray in his video and books. Rays nephew Walt now owns the shop. Great guy.
Wow, this brings back memories. Way back in the early 70s I owned a 1965 356C. I rebuilt the engine using a 912 case, crankshaft and rods, along with a big bore 1750cc kit from Competition Engineering (iron sleeves in aluminum cylinders). I also installed the CE full-flow oil filter kit, and I ran Norris cam, lifters and pushrods, all fed by huge Weber 48 IDA carbs via CE manifolds. I'm not sure what the upper rpm was on this baby as the tach only went to 7000, but it would easily pull that... and it was great fun to drive... until my wife got backed into by a very large truck, which destroyed the front end. Thanks for rekindling memories of the past good ol' days!

We have some Space Coast Region members on Carpokes and there's also a sub sub-forum for Space Coast in our fledgling "Regions" sub. (We're trying to get more regions posting their events along with chatter amongst members and other regions. Cross pollination? Lol. )

No Cam Rahn Bay for me, rather Hue/Phu Bai/Danang with a couple of odd spots here and there. Rather late in that particular game. Army, but you AF fellows were great for catching rides when more than a Huey was needed! Thanks!

Mostly just posting so I can download that 944 tensioner STL. It's finally time to put my 924S back on the road after 12 years and those belts are high on the priority list.
