"Blueline" (Tim?).....Now THAT'S a beautiful machine! Thanks so much for posting, as it nailed down some of my final cosmetic questions. I am moving from the Mid-Atlantic to SoCal, so it's Summer shoes all year round! THanks, again

It looks great! Let us know how the process goes, when it gets built, etc., and, of course, pics when it arrives! Exciting times!

Hi, Eric. By "regular wheels", I meant the smaller 19"/20" on standard rims, rather than the upgrade to 20"/21" tires on upgraded rims. They're both lugs, not center locks. I know the smaller rims/tires will give a smoother ride, but damn, the larger tires sure look better. Thanks for your response

Docjay, I like your build. You asked for my opinion so here it is and that is all it is…..one opinion. Stick with the 20/21 wheels. I would drop the premium package and the sunroof (leaks, rattles, maintenance). I would add the sports design package and side skirts. Good job keeping your build at $140k. Other opinions may differ….and that’s OK.

Hi, fully…. thanks for your reply. You have many value points. Allow me to reply please. My wife and I are relocating that is retiring to the Palm Springs area California. So for nine months out of the year and open sunroof would be the next best thing to a cab. also, I am coming out of a MACAN GTS so into a smaller car. I thought the sunroof would make it feel more air. So that was my decision there. my final build has leather package black seats with chalk stitching. Because I agree you spend more time in the car than outside admiring it and the nicer seats pay you back that way. I do have the extended fuel tank for our planned field trips. I did go with, opinion of course, what I think are the best looking wheels available and that is the Classics in the large size. I agonized over yes, the side skirts, and the exhaust. But considering I put the order in the same week my wife and I settled on the new house, I wanted to keep the number at 140. You know happy wife equals happy life.

Hey, “P”….. talk about gorgeous, your machine ain’t chopped liver! My current Macan GTS is chalk over natural espresso brown. I’m sure you’re tired of compliments every time you pull into a gas station. J

Colors and wheels are very much to each person's taste. Do what makes your heart beat faster when you think about the car!

A couple of suggestions:

Add prep for roof transport - $60 and makes it so you can add roof top storage if you ever desire. When not used, it can't be seen. Make life for future you easier!

Heated steering wheel, your choice on style (unless you live in Miami ;) ) Invaluable on cool/cold days. Used mine this morning on the way to the first PCA event of the season. It was 45 or so at 0800 and blowing a bit here, and I'm in the south, if the pollen on the car is any tell.

Prep for Porsche dashcam - $130. Makes it way easier (faster and cheaper) to add the camera later.

Fire extinguisher - $180. Cheap peace of mind. Still salty that my planned Euro Delivery stopped it for me.

Docjay, first 2024 Carrera build for which I would suggest nothing... and as a rule I don't comment on other's configurations.

As an old Porsche hand, I would gladly buy this 992, and appreciate it, if it were to come up on the CPO market. Take this comment as high praise for your configuration

Enjoy it to the full!
