Other handles on other boards Photog, dirtyhands, and probably more that I can't remember. I work on old chevys (cuz you have to often), and drive mostly Toyotas - Got an FJ and a Prius GenII. Done plenty of track days - but only on motorcycles.

So I'm buying this 944 with a bad head gasket - not a screaming deal, but good enough for these parts (not many fun cars up here in the mountains). Anyways, Its real nice interior with sport seats, the sports handling package and in Guards Red on black.

My decision to make - do I just slip an new head gasket in, or pull the motor now and do a light rebuild/re-gasket?
Supposedly this 944 ran/runs but I have not seen it run. Supposedly everything works - headlights, sunroof, A/C, even the odometer.

Looking forward to towing this one home in a couple days, and getting to work getting it running.

Sports Seats you say? Check out these 944 Sports Seats that just sold on Bring a Trailer for $8,500.

Welcome aboard -- we're here to help and support as you wade in! I'd be guided by how much oil gunk is on the motor. The worse it looks, the more inclined I'd be to pull the motor to reseal everything...

Those are power unlike my manual seats, but that's absurd money for seats. I think mine would go for 1500 or so.

1989 has rubber non-turbo whale tail with a mild battery acid spot the size of a dime. The tail is in excellent condition with the exception of the acid spot which is very light thankfully. What can I use to eliminate the little spot? Thanks in advance.
