My wife leaves the house and reports 'Reduced Engine Power' and CEL. She swaps out to the SL55 so I can try and figure it out.

The scan tool shows a plethora of codes, but the 2 that stick out are P1542 and P1502 that lead me to the throttle body.
There is a simple procedure to do a throttle body adaptation (turn key to ignition 'on' but don't start for 1 minute. Turn 'off' and you're done). That cured the problem for about a week.

So, I got the throttle body kit (TB, O-ring, hardware) for ~$150 and it took about an 2 hours to install and recalibrate everything and clear any remaining codes. Dealer wanted $1200. Best Inde was $750.

All fixed and my wife is back on the road and smiling again.

Thanks for the helpful info!
I'm sure it's something that will affect us all at one time.
I just did that on the 911 and it made a difference there also. There is also a similar procedure for the PDK, so I wonder if there is one for the Tip as well?

There's probably someone who made a video out there!
