I just put in the custom made Porsche Crest Mount, made by none other than @Tom - Turned out awesome! The airbox is anything but flat with veins/slats all over it, making it impossible to stick on a mount. That is where Tom came in, 3d printing a mount just for the 718 airbox! Not sure if I am going to keep the gold foil heat tape on the airbox, but for now I love the look.

Thanks for posting the picture! Looks cool in situ. The air box has ridges running in a bunch of different angles, so part of the challenge was picking the right ridges to line it up with. It was either this or tilting it counter-clockwise a bit to line up with the main ridges on the air box. Seeing this makes me think lining it up with the car was the way to go. :)

Yea, looking at the mount in person, I don't know how you did it ha. Looks and fits perfect.

Pretty amazing, for sure. And I agree with you and Tom that lining it up as he did is definitely the right way to have done it. It lines up correctly with the "Porsche" lettering to its right and would have, in my opinion, looked really bad if not square to the car.

Wow that’s impressive. Do you know a way to switch the yellow lettering on the shift knob to red?

This is the conversion kit from Suncoast. It comes with black stitching, so I sent it over to the madman Edguards @Crazy Eddie to put in Chalk stitching, and a little extra "718" embroidery in red!

Install was easy. You don't even have to take off the sides of the center console. It does help if you have some very thing trim removal tools.

This is how it comes

The only person I know that might do it would be Frank at Exclusive Option (notoriously hard to get a hold of).... I might inquire about that down the road, but for now, I am fine with the yellow.

Do let us know if you find a solution!

I asked Frank if there was a way to change the yellow lettering to white or chalk and he said no. He can cover the knob with leather.

@71Eh Can you share where you sourced the magsafe phone charger and the engine cover you installed. I like that the phone charger hides the smokers package door but I'm not sure I like how tall it is. Have you found that your phone gets in the way when your arm is on the center arm rest? Thanks!

Magsafe charger is from Brock Vance. He has a site now where he sells them. Amazing quality: https://b2prototech.com/

I don't drive with my arm on the center console, so I can't comment on that. I never have any issue with it getting in the way. Perhaps if you have a manual, it might get in the way, not sure. You can always place it horizontal if it gets in the way.

The engine cover was a big project, made by a automotive engineer named Henry Chea. If you are interested in it, send me a DM and I will give you his email. He's SUPER nice and helpful.
