Did anyone else get trapped at Werks today? I tried to leave early to beat the rush, and it took just shy of 4 HOURS to get out of the golf course. No comment!!!

I always leave the Werks Reunion at Amelia Island early when my attention span goes to zero, haven't had any real issues.

Yeah, the venue in Monterey is a challenge for sure. I think they could do much better if they actively managed the traffic and ingress/egress routes, but it may or may not be possible to responsibly manage that many cars trying to get off a golf course at one time, especially a golf course with limited access to expressways, etc. My fear is that something bad will happen one of these years and put the PCA in a very bad light. If they can't move the venue, one option would be to run shuttles like they do for the Pebble Beach Concours. No one likes shuttles, but I think there is a safety aspect involved, and even a shuttle beats sitting in your car on a golf path for nearly 4 hours!

Me and my friend gave up, parked our car, and took a nap on the lawn for a couple of hours until there was no line, haha.
