Driving my 992 yesterday on the highway -- just cruising along -- and for maybe 5 to 10 seconds I got a "PAS Restricted -- see owners manual" warning. PAS is apparently "Porsche Active Safe" which I honestly didn't even realize this car had. Apparently it hits the brakes if I'm about to run into something.... Curious how common it is to get this warning? I see other posts on the inter-web suggesting it can happen due to road debris blocking sensors, etc. Has anyone else had this warning? Worth a call to the dealer?

PAS aka "Warn and Brake Assist". So far, I've not had any messages or indicators of that sort.
Did the message go away or is it still there? If it persists or comes back, then I'd definitely take it to the dealer. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it other than mentioning it the next time you're there for other reasons.
However, a call can't hurt plus you will have alerted Porsche about the anomaly.

It went away after a few seconds and I haven't seen it since. If it pops up again, I'll definitely call the dealer. Hoping it was a freak thing, but time will tell....
@Tom I had that happened to me before. I was told that the front camera sometimes gets foggy and that is why it does that. That is the reason that it went away after a bit of driving. Mine happened while I was parked at the dealership. It was a cool late morning day. I went to turn on my car and the warning came. Drove it and it went away in a matter of minutes. It is normal for what I've been told. Cayenne and Macan get them periodically, because of the way the camera is mounted on the front bumper.Tom wrote: Sun Jul 02, 2023 8:39 pm It went away after a few seconds and I haven't seen it since. I purchased a brand new 992 and after a month of driving, the ‘PAS restricted’ happened to me as well driving on a long stretch on the freeway then went away after 10 seconds. It was a clear California evening so glad to know about any sensor issues.
