Hi fellow Porsche lovers.
I'm Pat and I have a 1985 928s black with red interior!
I saw it when it was new and fell completely in love with it! 20 years later it was up for sale, and I could not resist!
Since I've taken it everywhere and joined PCA, became a Board member, I've taken it to local Concourse and driving events, including a 'Spirted Drive' with our Region and had a blast blasting back roads with 60 other Porsche!!!
I love putting my little one-man inflatable fishing boat in it with all my fishing rods and gear and go to small 'carry-in only lakes here in Wisconsin and slowly hum around on the lake then, pack up and go corner carving on the way home!
Porsche is meant to be driven and used!
After driving the Shark, my face is always soar from smiling so big for so long!
If I could figure out how to post a photo I would.
Talk soon,
Pat 928s

Hi Pat and welcome to the corral, pardner. I know what you mean about the contagious smile that Porsche owner/drivers manifest whenever they are on tour with others. [As a medical guy, I know it's not a simple rictus or Risus Sardonicus, but rather the pure exuberant, unconstrained joy that comes with a Porsche ownership certif!]. Good on ya for being an involved, active and participating member of PCA (instead of a slacker and party-pooper like me, LoL!). I'm not much of an 'activities' person myself, but I DO know the feeling of elation that any 'gathering of (Porsche) eagles' provokes! As the old saying has it: "Drive 'em, don't hide 'em!"
"Man is the best computer we can put aboard a spacecraft... and the only one that can be mass produced with unskilled labor." -Wernher von Braun (B.1912-D.1977, rocket scientist)

Hi Pat,
Welcome to Carpokes! In the mid 1980s my good friend bought a 928s that was red with a black interior, the mirror image of your car. I remember being mesmerized by the car.
Best,
Larry

A friend of mine calls himself a vintage car mechanic. He works on modern cars but considers himself vintage. Welcome to Carpokes. If we can help get the 944 running, let us know!!
