Welcome Ronan! Would that "small town in BC" be anywhere near Nanaimo, on the Island? Couple of good friends in BC, north of Vancouver, including one (Fred Grey, by name) who restores antique cars. He restored a beautiful yellow 1912 Hudson 33 (see below) and ended up selling it, as is his wont. Breathtakingly beautiful old crate! Good to have you on board!

My wife thinks I am married more to the Turbo S than her. When me moved in phases to FL, I “auto-train-ed” the car to FL and kept it in the garage for the year , until I moved down full time. My wife already started her job in FL and was asked to move the car so some workers could access the AC they were trying to work on. She doesn’t drive stick shift and ended up bumping into the garage door…She had the car flat bedded to the dealer to be checked out (nothing but some buffing of the bumper)., but never told me about it. When I went to visit FL the next month, the car was on the handbrake, which I never would do during storage and she had to confess….With a Porsche, details matter 😉.
Well 944TurboS, your wifie is right on-target thinking that your affair with the 944 constitutes a betrayal of marital fidelity! I was with a F-106 squadron back during the 'Cold War' and we had a lot of squadron wives who thought their husbands were more true-blue to their Mach-2.4 mounts than to them! And of course it was ALWAYS true of the jocks who flew the really hot stuff (like F-104 Vipers and F-106 Sixes)....the most fun you could have, short of going on R&R leave in Bangkok! I guess the same is true with regard to Porsches! I certainly have an on-going affair with mine, LoL! Welcome aboard! Showing off our bird (below)...that's a rubber mask, BTW, hee-hee.

That's exactly why we made that tool! So glad you found it, and us!! Lots of 944 lifers here on Carpokes, so if you have questions, just ask away. When I was in high school, there was no Internet. All I had was one Chilton's manual that purported to cover every car over like a 20 year span. If I couldn't figure it out by morning, I was walking to school (again). There were many a midnights I would have given a king's ransom to have a place like this with answers to just about every question. Welcome!

There are many, many transaxle gurus on Carpokes who are uniquely able and willing to help if needed, so you've come to the right place. It's a wonderful forum!

Welcome!
