@Tom and I are still working on perfecting the 718 dash sports chrono bezel cover. I have a 2022 Cayman GTS but live in Los Angeles. Tom lives in Silicon Valley. We have been sharing pictures and measurements for months but playing mail tag has become very time and labor intensive. Unlike the 992 bezel cover, the 718 one requires a more precise fit due to the positioning of the gauge in the dash enclosure.
We need someone to help out fellow Capokeans by bringing their 718 by Tom’s house so he can take measurements and perfect the bezel cover. If you jump over to the 992 and Taycan forums, there are loads of photos of 992 bezel covers in Carpokes members’ cars. They really add a lot to the interior and can be installed and removed in seconds!
If there are any 718 owners near Tom’s house that would be kind enough to help out, we will reward you with three bezel covers in your choice of colors, some cool CP swag, a $100 gift certificate to use at your Porsche dealership, and most importantly, knowing that you contributed to your fellow 718 owners.
If interested, please respond to this email.
Thank you and happy motoring.

Oh, one that goes over the OEM bezel, right? We perfected bezels that take the place of the OEM and it is very easy to remove it. There is not a lot of room to add one IMO and not having it look too big/non-OEM...good luck.

@Bob Z take a look at Tom’s new thread and video for the driving mode selector. Looks very cool, or should I say, red hot.

Just a quick updated. I send a few hooded versions of the bezel off to @Bob Z and am looking forward to hearing how they work/look. I'm also not about to give up on the clip-on cover version.
The issue with that one is the hood over the gauge leaves no room for the cover to hang on (unlike the 992 bezel cover). @Larry C and I have been playing with a few variations, none of which worked well, so now I've sent off a whole new approach that has a little wedge that slides under the bezel to hold it in tight. Time will tell if this idea has legs, but fingers crossed.

Yes, kind of like your replica. Once the attachment points are all sorted out, everything above that is just limited by our imagination.
Others may want that version, which they can snap on and off at night; however, I think that one of the new hooded versions that are on the way are going to be my first choice! I still wonder why Porsche puts a hood on SCs except in the 718s!Tom wrote: Sat Feb 19, 2022 4:52 pmBob Z wrote: Sat Feb 19, 2022 4:48 pm I will be sure to post when they arrive Tom!
