The 04 fills a nice slot after the 88 G50 Cab and the other ‘Toys’ in newly built ‘Dream Garage’

Here is my 996.2 Targa.....Porsche only built 5,100 of these, compared to 104,000 coupes and 65,000 cab's....sort of rare. Oh look Mom....a 'Hatch Back' !!!!! Who knew ????? This is Porsche #35, going back to #1 in 1970, a '65 912. LOTS of P-cars over the years. Some, I wish I still had, but, happy with this fine lady.

Saw my 1st Porsche, in 1962, at age 11, whilst riding with Dad in his VW, in Tucson, AZ.
Love at 1st sight.... :shifty: Now, 35 Porsches later.....what can I say.

You said it was well kept and your photos certainly confirm that. Your Targa car looks brand new inside and out! Thanks for posting the pics.

I'll refrain from cheating since you already told us in another post. However, I'll freely admit that I knew nothing about this particular car. I found the following at Sotheby's website, so now I now know a little bit, at least until my memory of it fades as is sometimes the case.

"Connoisseur’s Convertible: Subtle Differences Make the 356 A Convertible D the Porschephile’s Pick"

and this:

"... solution was a new model, the so-called 356 A Convertible D, built by a hometown firm: Karosseriewerke Drauz KG. Porsche could not have anticipated that their collaboration with Drauz would end a mere 1,331 examples later, making examples like this 1959 Porsche 356 A 1600 S Convertible D one of the rarest non-motorsports models ever to wear the famous Stuttgart crest."
