Do you have the Carpokes mounts? If so, definitely use all four! They are designed to work on bumpers with or without holes, so if your bumper has two holes on top and no holes on the bottom, that doesn't matter at all for the Carpokes mounts. Just line up the holes in the bottom mounts over the tiny dimples in the bumper where the drill holes would have done. Just make sure the license plate holes line up before pressing them on hard.incursion wrote: Mon Feb 07, 2022 10:29 am Is it ok to screw my plate directly to just the two top mounts only? My dealer didn't drill the bottom two holes.
p.s., as if the factory mounting solution isn't 'questionable' enough, I've seen too many dealers that just drill two holes for the plate and let it bounce against the paint.

It goes, bumper, mount, plate, (plate frame optional), washer, screw. So front-side of license plate if I understand the question correctly....

@Tom
I emailed about acquiring these for my Golf. Here are two photos of the back that you requested.
I assume they'll just be able to stick onto that area as its flat and doesn't have any grooves or similar.

Interesting. How are you supposed to attach your plate?? Are there dimples or bosses or anything to show where the license plate mounting holes should go?
Based on those pictures, I tend to agree that either set of our mounts would work, so probably the 718 versions since they are cheaper....

The dealer would measure and drill. I asked them specifically to not to.
I’ll go w/ the 718 ones.

Yes, see Post #65 in this thread. We had to be a little creative and mix the sets, but works like a charm. Happy to make you up a set if you'd like.
