I like Mario. He's from the same town in Italy that my mom was from, Trieste, and the town of my dual, Italian, citizenship. He was one of those drivers that won in anything he drove. A bit of a rarity nowadays.

Dad loved Italy, and though we were based in Bitburg, Germany we spent our Summer vacation every year in Italia! He really loved the Northern portion and I remember the year we visited Venice we also went to Trieste --- what a cool old port city and the canal there was easier to get around. Though we have no descendants from Italy , Dad's jet black hair , blue eyes and Roman nose meant folks often came up and chatted to us in Italian , ha.

Great city to have your ancestors from!

Good interview! Fun read. Andretti is an amazing person and an amazing racer. He's always been great for the sport of racing and the Cadillac/Andretti venture will end being another step up for F1. Kudos!

Looking forward to the new faces; lots of changes. 2025 is an interim-type year with the real regulation and design changes coming for 2026. Will be interesting to see how they manage it.

Did you guys see the sticker/decal on the back of Carlos Sainz Williams rear wing ? It said " my other car is a Ferrari " . Great sense of humor !!!
