Has anyone here tried the DCS suspension controller? I'm wondering it if could take some of the stiffness out of the GT4RS suspension for street use? Asking for a friend.

I have it on the GT4, but for the performance side of things rather than decreasing stiffness which I think it can be programmed to do.Tom wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 10:06 am Has anyone here tried the DCS suspension controller? @J-Dub also runs DSC and will probably know more about whether that's possible since he's fooled around with the programming a bit. I just had DSC set mine up optimally for my car and for the track and did a plug-n-play - I haven't changed anything.
Matt and Collin at DSC were both very helpful when I inquired about specifics and setups.

In the DSC controller software there is a separate line for just setting the baseline(before any tables make the damping harder) that you can set lower quite easily in the DSC controller settings. It is on the G Force table under the G Comfort parameter. This is typically set between 1 and 10 with 1 being most plush and 10 being more firm. Think of 10 as 10% not like a stereo where 10 is the max.
BUT what I think you are really asking here is if the DSC is more comfortable that the stock controller and I will tell you overwhelmingly yes. If you have a local friend that is willing you can swap out someones else's DSC and go for a 10 minute drive, takes 5-10 minutes to swap it over and no coding is required. The DSC controller will sell itself, for your friend

Thank you for your explanation. Please forgive me. I didn’t do any looking back on this thread. Do you have a GT 4 RS currently? I currently have both a GT4RS and a Spyder RS and the significant difference in suspension is quite amazing.J-Dub wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 11:00 am In the DSC controller software there is a separate line for just setting the baseline(before any tables make the damping harder) that you can set lower quite easily in the DSC controller settings. I was wondering if it’s possible to swap boxes to see if indeed that would make a difference?
My biggest gripe with the four RS is just the bounciness. It just seems like it’s way overdone??
Best regards

@Crazy Eddie No unfortunately, no RS for me. I have only swapped DSC controllers in and out of GT4s and GTS models. I would think the swap between a SRS and 4RS would be worth a try and a fun test.

Ed swears his GT4RS is harsher on the road than his Spyder RS, and heard and off-the-cuff comment from a Porsche tech that the hardware is the same and the only difference is the programming. I've been trying to talking him into getting one of these for his GT4RS but he's holding out hope he can simply tune the existing controller. He's also mulling the idea of swapping the control box from his Spyder RS into the GT4RS to see if the roads manners come from the boxes, but he's not 100% sure the boxes are a plug n' play swap like that. He has no pioneering spirit, haha, so is waiting for someone else to confirm either idea works. Anyone have any insights?
