As I mentioned, I don't follow the graph/setup chart I posted regarding camber - I am still at -2.75 square. I merely posted the DSC Sport recommendations as a reference to the suggested front and rear sway bar settings in response to J-Dub's post about same.

(That setup chart is older too. I found it and saved the link 4+ years ago. No idea if it's changed since then.)

Bill,
You can easily achieve 3 deg up front. With Tarett GT3 arms and 11mm of shim, Tarett front camber plates I am at 3 deg up front and am in the middle of the adjustment of the slots. I did it this way to widen my track. I am considering more shims but have not figured out how close I am to needing longer tie rod ends.

Thanks Tim, really helpful. I remember the 981 being recommended to go front soft and rear stiff however the 718 starting point is middle middle.

My stock front bar is 27mm, the GT3/4 front bar is 31mm. My stock rear bar is 25.5mm, the GT4/RS bar is 25mm.

That leads me to believe a similar starting point to what I had is exactly as you suggest. I will try it out.

Thanks!

Don't know if this will help but, per recommendations from trusted sources for track setup 4+ years ago, I have mine adjusted Full Soft for front and Full Stiff for rear. It works very well for me. (The factory default setup is Middle for both front and rear.)

This GT4 setup chart and/or the attached PDF DSC Sport/TPC Racing doc that I found later confirmed the sway settings. (Note that I have not followed DSC/TPC's alignment specs precisely although theirs are certainly in the correct ballpark and would be a good place to start.)

Thanks for the updated 718 chart, although I don't plan on changing to DSC's middle/middle recs (which is how the car came from the factory btw) since the Soft front/Stiff rear works well for me on track. As I mentioned, some highly trusted and informed race sources suggested the Soft/Stiff setup before I found the 981 chart suggesting the same. Rightly or wrongly, I figured what was good for the 981 would be good for the 718.

Actually, it's probably a good thing that I didn't see the Middle/Middle DSC Sport recs for the 718 GT4 as I would have then been second guessing my previous decision! Lol.

Anyway, hopefully the Soft/Stiff will work for your GTS. Please let us know if it does produce positive results and/or what sway settings you end up with. That feedback will help WillyDaP and others following these ideas as they contemplate setup changes and upgrades.

I took my son up to Amelia Island for Werks Reunion, the auction preview, the concours and the Radwood. Great time.

The GT4 is ready for the track again - the rear heat degradation issues have been addressed with parts replaced as described in earlier posts, so we'll see if they do the job. New inner and outer boots w/high temp grease, Porsche Motorsports rear axle air ducts and the new 3-D printed heat-shielded Soul OAPs.

Excellent result Tim!

I hope to follow your path with my OAPs.

Seeing the LCA air guides on with Zip Ties inspires me to trim mine so I can do the same. The stock clam shell does not seem super secure anyway.

Agree on the clam shell not being very secure Jeremy. Josh at PoN (who did the work) said the same thing and added that he felt his configuration to be superior strength-wise.

I felt the increased performance immediately.
I suppose it’s possible I just imagined how much faster the car is now, but…still.
