Hi All, I have a 992 Carrera 4 GTS on order. Got the allocation and it was due on April 29, now they are pushing my delivery date back. So far is a month, could be more. I guess it has to do with the ship that caught on fire. Porsche is planning on reordering all the 1,100 cars that were lost. I do understand the customers that were waiting on their cars and lost them, just upset with the delays. I've been waiting since last July.
Eric
Hi Eric, unfortunately you’re not the only person that got the dates changed, my GTS was scheduled to go in production 2 days ago and delivery was mid April n now it’s June or possibly July, and those changes were made before the ship fire last week, I’m sure the loss of the 1100 Porsche’s will effect further more, there is shortage of 2 major parts, PCCB & Aerokit, if your car has any of those 2 options those are what causing the delay so far, hope your delay won’t be as much
I didn't know about the PCCB shortage, I do have the PCCB on my car or order.
Thank you for the update.
Eric

Hi Eric, I know this is not much consolation but, it appears the majority of us that are waiting have all been delayed for various different reason - PCCBs, Aerokit, RORO shipping schedules, etc.
What is the status of your build? Sounds like your GTS was very close to production or possibly even completed if you were originally expecting delivery on April 29th.
In addition to the parts shortages Porsche has cars backed up at the port of Emden. This backup existed even before the Felicity Ace fire and now seems to have gotten worse. I know of several that were / have been sitting there for approximately two months. Unfortunately, a neighbor of mine had a Gulf Blue Panamera waiting at Emden for over two months and then it was loaded on the Felicity Ace. This is the current note Porsche has posted on TYD:
"Note: Vehicles presently awaiting shipment from Germany are currently undergoing scheduling updates, and additional scheduling changes might occur."
Hi Hawk,
My freeze point was back in February 1 and then it got moved to February 18 and so on. My car was supposed to be in production on March 7th, now they have it in production on April 7th, I think. Delivery date right now is May 27th, I would say June sometime is when I'll get my car. But I do understand the shortage though, I do haver the PCCB and also, Felicity is adding to the re-scheduling too, my guess though.

My GTS went into production on 2/14. Per my SA my car went into the body shop on 2/16. It’s now showing a 3/18 completion. My SA did remind me that I have a lot of exclusive options on the car that adds to the production time. Mine has PCCBs but based on my start production date I should have avoided the stop sale on PCCBs.
I’m going back to Ireland for a couple of weeks from this weekend so that’ll hopefully take my mind off tracking this.

My GT3 is on the exact same delayed schedule as yours.
So interesting, my dates are kind of moving back to what they used to be initially. So, this morning I checked and I finally reached freeze point and my car is schedule for production maybe next week. But I'm not holding my breath though.
My SA emailed to say that Porsche is experiencing supply chain disruptions resulting from the crisis in Ukraine which may result in further delays.
Porsche just posted this in TYD:
"Dear Customer, as the terrible news and pictures continue to reach us from Ukraine, we are appalled and deeply saddened by the situation. Our immediate concern is first and foremost for the people of Ukraine, our colleagues on the ground and peace as a whole.
The situation may mean the ordering and delivery of your car is delayed as a result of the supply chain being interrupted.
We kindly ask for your understanding and for you to keep in touch with your dealership who will do their best to keep you updated every step of the way as we work as a priority to address this situation."

I heard from my SA yesterday that they received communication from Porsche that they are stopping the production of Panameras and Macans due to disruptions caused by the war in Ukraine but that other models were currently unaffected.

This is the latest news on the delays resulting from the Ukrainian crisis and the shortage of wiring harnesses:
- Leipzig factory production of Panamera and Macan models halted.
- Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen factory, which builds the Taycan and 911 models, production will be maintained this week.
